Hi David, Great post on Avid. I'm a newbie to this stock. Two good friends of mine own and recommend Avid, but I suspect that they don't know what's really going on the way you do. I read the Barron's article a couple of weeks ago on Avid, and I have a couple of questions. Do you consider Discreet Logic a competitor, and how would you rate it compared to Avid. Also, how do you rate the potential of a buyout of Avid. One of my friends thinks Sony or somebody would be willing to pay quite a bit for Avid. Is he smoking the funny stuff again, or what? Incidentally, last question, did you ever consider playing the dead cat bounce game with options instead of the stock? At this point, sounds like it might be too risky for options, maybe even for the stock. Thanks.
