I can hardly wait to get my CD-RW drive bundled with my Roland VS-1680 recorder. For my needs, I will probably only use 1 or 2 CD-RW discs to backup current projects, and archive everything to CD-R for filing away. The media is getting so ridiculously cheap for Cd-R (0.89› for 650MB last time I checked) that this expense is practically a joke. CD-RW media is also starting to crash down in price. I found CD-RW media for $9.99 yesterday.

I was going to get a Castlewood ORb (if it ever became available) but now that is no longer needed. If I need to get more immediate disc space, I'll just spring for another external hard drive. Prices are getting to be a joke all over the storage sector.
