Jane,

You mention God's two prophet's in post 482. Scripture clearly tells us when the two WITNESSES live in relationship ot he 70th week of Daniel. God put these two people on earth sort of as a last chance for the sinners to repent. But knowing in advance that they will die at the hands of the Antichrist (Rev. 11:7-10) we know that they will appear during the second half of Daniel's 70th week. After they are killed in the streets and then God breaths life into them they are raised to life before ascending to Heaven.

Who are these two witness, Elijah must come back to earth before the day of the Lord, as Milachi said, "Behold, I am going to send My messenger and he will clear the way before Me...Behold, I am going to send you Ejilah the prophet before the coming of the great and terrible day of the Lord (Mal 3:1/4:5). The second Witness is not clear, but Moses is the likely candidate. At the transfiguration Moses and Ejilah appear with a glorified Jesus before the three disciples (Matt 17:3). Moses said "The Lord God shall raise up for you a prophet like me from the brethren, to Him you shall give heed in everything He says to you. And it shall be that every soul that does not heed that prophet shall be utterly destroyed from the people." (Acts 3:22-23). Also God use Moses as an vessel through who He revealed his laws to Israel. The Bible says the law of God as the law of Moses. But Daniel is also a possible second witness (Dan 12:13) "But as for you, go your way to the end, then you will enter into rest and rise again for your allotted portion at the end of the age".

Interesting subject, the two Witnesses.
