During one of my visits to the site, I caught a whiff of a petroleum-like odor. By moving in the direction of the wind, I quickly determined the source was off site. The plant is located in the harbor district, surrounded by huge oil tanks, and on land rented from Allied Terminals that they rent from Exxon. There are no homes in the immediate vicinity. The story in Columbia was about radioactive lint floating in the air in peoples' yards where their children play. DHEC permitted that but has a serious problem with our tiny plant with its minuscule emissions. This causes me to wonder what their philosophy really is. Charles
