Reverse split do not always cause damage. In many case they are the best thing that can happen for the long term.

In the case of Toscana, I view it as positive. The stock price is higher than its low pre-split. The company is in a deal with Newcrest that could mean a very bright future. The illiquidity, of course, is not very good if you need to sell your shares now. But if you are patient it may provide fuel to a major rise in the price of the stock if this new JV produces the results they hope.

Add to this the fact that it will be a lot easier to finance now than pre-split...thanks to the very low number of shares.
