Absolutely right on the button. Of the companies mentioned, I follow
Berkley and Chieftain. I like both of these success stories. However,
would I invest in them at this time is another question. Chieftain is a
maybe, Berkley is a definite not.

On each of the mentioned, I like Cheiftain due to their area of operations
and the prices they will be realizing for natural gas. Also, they don't
have any debt. At $30.00/share, one would be paying 120 X estimate
EPS for fiscal 1996 and about 8X CFS.

Berkley shares have just absolutely skyrocketed. It bothers me a little
that I had a few thousand shares I picked up at $3.90 and sold between
$9-10.00, thinking I had made a hit here. In my wildest expectations,
I didn't see it going up to slightly over $30.00 share, which of course
it has. I believe this is the Chicago based mutual fund I posted about
Berkley being one holding they really liked and shares were about
$24.00 at the time. In my opinion, it will take a good amount of time
before EPS and CFS catches up to justify current share price.

I would like to know at what levels the fund bought into these companies.
