I don't get upset if things don't happen as planned either. On the other hand, when unsubstantiated rumors drive the price up, I'm more than willing to sell and buy back. Worked last time, worked this time. Of course I could get burned, and sometimes I just hold (as you say you do). There is nothing wrong with either approach.
I did get a bit offensive because rosen wouldn't give enough info to prove or disprove his rumor. Also, so many people seemed to be blindly believing a newcomer to the thread, and didn't bother to check the facts. But, on the other hand, they are the ones that paid 1.25-1.50/share.
I agree, when she is back, its too late to buy.
While I understand your buy and holds approach, and use it myself, I don't understand the buy after unsubstantiated rumors drive up the price approach (not suggesting you bought). I suspect the regulars either held, or sold and will rebuy (time permitting).
Also, I don't plan on things happening on the basis of rumor. For example, even though there is a rumor the judge will decide on May 17 (based on no facts and made up by me), I don't plan on it happening. I'd certainly laugh if it did!
At least rosen livened up the thread for a few weeks. |
