FYI - Just returned from a Y2K lunch featuring Carl Greiner - Y2K Guru (sponsored by FAC Equities and META group). Concerning embedded systems - sees them as a high risk area as well as networks/supply chains/and public/private sector interfaces. When posed the question on what corporations are doing to solve embedded chip problems, he responded with the usual answer (inventory, assessment, etc...). Following on I asked if this was being done internally or externally. He responded that alot of companies are doing it internally and only one company he is aware of does it externally......TAVA. Had to put in the plug for ole TAVA in front of Buysiders. TIGGY
