Some good technical info. from Yahoo thread.

"

To anyone who is wondering why MACR hasn't skyrocketed since the
release of Flash 3:

When the Flash 3 public beta was released last week, there was a
problem with Cyrix processor compatibility. As a consequence,
anyone with a non-Pentium based PC could not use the plug-in
without modifying some of its code first... and most people don't
know how to modify code.

This is a major concern to developers/designers because their
pages must be readable by a good majority of browsers. As a
consequence, a lot of developers are deciding to stick with
Flash 2 until these problems are fixed. That should not be long
though (definitely before the real release). Apparently, it
had something to do with the MMX acceleration routine and can
be fixed without compromising any quality or speed.

It shouldn't be long now. "

thanks
