Anybody who thinks that today's announcement is fluff, or even partially fluff is wayoff base, IMO. There is a difference between setting up a test network, as was previously announced, specifically for testing, and a service network that is available for consumption (for lack of a better word). This means that, in July, FNET will start to generate revenue. Did we ever have a firm date before this? No. With the new management team in, they have started an agressive push to start generating revenues ASAP. For people who are confused about the "spinoff" announcement, I think it simply meant that FNET will operate as a separate company with independent management even though it is still majority owned by Franklin.
