From Newsbytes:

Media Can Attend Apple Stockholder Meeting 04/21/98
CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA, U.S.A., 1998 APR 21 (NB) -- By Patrick McKenna,
Newsbytes. Today, Apple Computer [NASDAQ:AAPL] spokesperson Katie
Cotton said media and analysts are welcome to attend tomorrow's annual
stockholder meeting, but the focus will remain on stockholder issues.

Company officials said they may not have communicated their message
clearly when several media sources, including Newsbytes, reported that
the media would be barred from covering the event.

"This meeting is not about restricting the press," she continued. "It is not a media event. There will be no special seating for the press, no product announcements and no Q&A. Our focus is that this is a
stockholder meeting and not a press event. The media can attend."

The meeting is scheduled for tomorrow morning and will take place at
Apple corporate headquarters in Cupertino, California.

Yesterday, a company spokesperson said only stockholders who owned
stock on or before the close of business on February 23, 1998 would be
granted entrance to the meeting. No reason was given for the change."

OTOH, Nancy Paxon (AAPL Investor Relations) told me this a.m. that no recording devices would be allowed when I asked about using a cell-modem PB setup.
