I do like the prospect of a new generation contributing to future social security payments, but really, shouldn't the trust fund account for this?? Seems funny that the feds prescribe rules for private pensions, but don't follow the same rules for our "public" pensions. Can you imagine if General Motors, or IBM, or Hewlett Packard ran their pension plans like the social security system? The feds would have swooped down on them long ago. Pity it has taken this many years for the subject to be taken seriously. Regards...Bill S
