Vinman....

Just remember...it is not an "apples to apples" comparison with other companies. Most other companies in the industry are quite specialized and are subject to dramatic up & down swings due to this fact. IBM's extremely broad portfolio of products is spread across many areas, and therefore the company will probably not see the "huge" revenue (& stock price ?), growth swings that the "oranges" see. Only more consistency, and hopefully steady progress. "e-Business" and the whole portfolio seems to be generating and gaining momentum for the years to come....

Also, MANY other companies take the EXACTLY THE SAME BUSINESS TACT of buying back shares, etc., contrary to all the spin & hype that is put out there. This includes (if I'm not mistaken) INTC, MSFT, CPQ, and others.

Good luck investing !
