In the future, if you have a problem, you might start with e-mailing the person; otherwise, you are publicly accusing someone, and the thread then becomes about that. After all, your response to my one post on this thread was an attack on me, and as such I am responding on the same thread so that others can see my side (in case they didn't already).
It's massively unclear what your beef is. Is it because I put in some of my beliefs in how to go bottom feeding, and you disagree? I know for a fact my points are legitimate. They have kept me from buying a lot of companies who appeared to be without substance, which subsequently crashed, while helping me zero in on good companies with solid management for long-term investing. That's good information for anyone to know. I also know of and post on a company which I believe to be in the undervalued category, and I gave information on it; not exactly a bad thing to do. And, this information was at the bottom of the post, so no one had to read it.
I also note that I haven't posted on this thread before. Nor have you. I did make a few threads, those engaged in discussion of bottom-feeding and undervalued stock and such, aware of the news release. Presumably, information is what these threads are about. Some appreciate them more than others, and then there are people such as yourself (a first for me) who are antagonistic for no apparent reason. In fact, your post is tantamount to liable, I definitely feel you've harmed me by it.
I've read some of your other posts, elsewhere, and see nothing significant about you. You talk up some companies, the ones you believe in. I do the same. I make a point of not talking down other stock, or other people on these threads, unless they are bashing a stock (or me) for no apparent reason. Some have been thrown off the threads for these reasons, but not for posting their views on investing in undervalued stocks, on a thread which in fact is about that.
But don't worry, I've noted your name and, given the fact there are many, many good companies out there, I will (mostly) avoid the companies and company threads you're on, except those about undervalued stocks and such. I will not avoid this one; it doesn't get much action (one of the reasons I was moved to post was that, since the feedback had dried up, and I'd considered posting my own ideas on bottom-feeding before, that I'd go ahead and do it) but there's always the chance that someone will post on it, and I'll get value from that; and of course I may post on it myself in the future. I suppose I regret posting here, it certainly did not get my day off to a good start to read your mean response, but who could tell that you'd do that? It was obviously not necessary. Thank you...not.
As far as the webmistress is concerned, you should be aware that if you make such a "report", it will be taken seriously by me, as your intentionally degrading post was. Also, reporting cuts both ways; since you began this attack on me, I have much more on my side if I report you than you do. If I get more such degrading, accusatory posts from you, I will report you. I made a legitimate post on a thread which was about bottom-feeding. I think you'll have a difficult time showing otherwise. You responded by making a threat, and trying to silence me. It is obvious to me that you have some other agenda, perhaps a past rebuff from me? I can't find any evidence of that anywhere, though you may have changed your user name.
It is true that I've been part of getting some bad apples removed from SI, but not anyone with your present user-name. I've only taken action when it was needed; your threat based on one post, which was on the subject-matter, and did not attack or degrade anyone, is remarkable, to say the least.
If I did rebuff you at any point, it was because you were, in my opinion, using a thread for an agenda other than accurate reporting of facts. Nothing personal, as your's seems to be.
In the future, if you don't want to make such discourse public, you can send an e-mail. That way, the person won't feel compelled to defend myself in public. You may forget that the freedom of the internet still includes being civil to one another, and giving people the benefit of the doubt when possible.
In sum, I will continue to post anywhere and everywhere I choose, and will continue to be appropriate in this regard. And, I will keep an eye out for what your agenda is wherever your name pops up. Still, if you refrain from responding to my posts, directly or indirectly, I will probably not respond to yours, either.
A real apology from you will be appreciated. Otherwise, no response at all is acceptable at this point.
