Scott conversation: Please excuse me for posting so much today, but I have just talked with Scott (IR for TAVA for you newcomers). About frustrating lack of NMS designation...Scott is just as incredulous as the rest of us. TAVA meets volume, price, net asset value and market cap criteria...still no luck. He did say that he thinks NMS might come before earnings (between May 11-15). One possible reason for the delay...a couple of slightly sleazy security firms involved in the IPO (long gone) so NASDAQ is making sure none of their remnants remain. As for bloated press releases. Scott tells me if a release involves only one company, there's lots of red tape that can sometime take a month or two to clear. If you simply mention the company in the context with other companies and events, no problem. He also contacted some of the major editorial houses to get them to mention Chevron et al, but they didn't do it. Of course he couldn't give me any earnings estimates, but did say what a great boost it would be if earnings came in even a penny over estimates. Interpret that any way you wish. All his responses seemed very reasonable.
