Earnings will be announced April 22 (TOMORROW) before the open!

Not much of a runup prior to the earnings release date, which is a good sign because there's little expectation built into this earnings release. Had there been a substantial runup in the last few days, CRPB would have to fight against profit-taking pressure tomorrow. But as it stands, CRPB has built a base since early February with an approximate midline of about $19.75.

I've gotten back in CRPB recently as I'm assuming earnings will beat expectations.

From their Q1 earnings release, they indicated that their acquisitions (CompuRoute and SVTR) "have the potential to contribute significantly to the company's future growth." In addition, SVTR should be turning profitable during 1998, which I'm guessing will mean this quarter. If that is so, there should be a virtual "doubling effect" on SVTR's contribution to earnings because their earnings won't degrade earnings from the other CRPB entities, but will be additive.

Following is a key quote from the Q1 release:

''We are also gratified with the success we have had in integrating the operations of CompuRoute and SVTR, each of which showed consistent growth throughout the year. Together they generated $6.7 million in net sales for the fourth quarter of 1997 and accounted for approximately 30 percent of the company's fourth-quarter sales. CompuRoute continues to be solidly profitable, and we anticipate that SVTR will turn profitable during 1998. Equally important, each has the potential to contribute significantly to the company's future growth.

Good luck tomorrow to all (the few) who follow this thread lately.

Raefon: CRPB never dropped to our mutually agreed buy-in price of mid $17. I figured this is too good of a company at $19.50 to pass up pre-earnings, plus I had an opportunity to speak with the CFO once again and he allayed my concerns about prior insider sales.
