charlie... using a rather thin release as news is an old ivax ploy.... release a benign statement, or even statements (usually in sets of 4 or 5...) just before and just after the earnings debacle ( usually on friday of a holiday weekend )... and it acts as a buffer , if not a total distraction. well, jackson knows... (but i doubt idti could even touch the melodrama of ivax numbers in their worst case scenario ......)
