Thanks, Berney; nice call on IBM ! -- I was afraid to play him because all the wires were full of stories that BigBlue was going to announce a negative earnings surprise. There's a cadre of pros who do nothing but BigBlue, Berney - you can see their options activity every day. If you just stuck with trsding IBM, you'd be BigBlue Berney (^_^)

All boats rose, and mine went up, too. I was a seller almost all day. I sold the remaining 2 HWPHM Aug 65C's into the strength of the close, and rolled 'em over and out to LEAPS. The little trades have left these diamonds behind in the 'profit portfolio' this month :

2 - VNLAR Jan99 INTC 90C LEAPS @ 6-3/8
2 - VHPAN Jan99 HWP 70C LEAPS @ 6-3/4
2 - VKPAF Jan99 CPQ 30C LEAPS @ 3-5/8

No, I didn't make any money in CPQ {grin}; I had other profits from trading, in minor issues, and I closed 18 of 20 of my unprofitable CPQ LEAPS and realized the trading profit as these two little LEAPS.

The banks and brokers have nasty looking candlesticks on their weekly charts, FWIW Berney - I haven't checked the results for this Banker's "Super Tuesday" yet; fixin' to do that right now.
