Dear Robert, I have long realized that this thread is mostly for those who are praising Alydaar. Those who raise concerns are criticized. I do not feel this thread is very democratic and open to all opinions. A few weeks back, I posted an article by bearcatcher giving Alydaar its "Bear of the Month" award. Those familiar with my posts on various threads should realize that I post whatever I feel to be relevant, good or bad.
Well, I received a note from Jill of techstocks telling me that she removed the "Bear of the Month" post because someone complained that it was copyrighted material. I apologized for doing that. She said that she realizes copyrighted material is posted all the time, but in this instance, someone complained. I just wonder if the article said that Alydaar was the "Bull of the Month", would that person have complained?
Last summer, when Alydaar reached 32, people on this thread were talking moonshot and making the most outrageous statements. Suffice to say, I and all those who held long now wish we had sold. Yes, I still believe Alydaar has tremendous potential, but I only wish that all views can be accepted on this thread without making personal attacks.
**Somewhat off topic***
A few years ago, when there was talk of the Raiders football team returning to Oakland from Los Angeles, it was the big media and political event of the SF bay area. I remember televised hearings where those who questioned accepting Al Davis back as the Prodigal Son were loudly heckled and booed. These Raiders fans wanted to hear nothing of the potential costs and liabilities. Well, now, the Raiders have been terrible since their return and the city of Oakland is out some hundreds of millions of dollars. Now I'm not saying that the Oakland Raiders won't win another Super Bowl, or that Alydaar won't reach the moon. I'm just for hearing all opinions. |
