Well Penni, I just saw something that may be of interest to you on Inside Edition. Now I know you have probably been sitting around worrying about the Shroud of Turin or contemplating some "etherial absolute relativistic conundrum", but right here on God's channel (18) they just had a piece on Mary Kay Latourneau.

It seems that the prison psychiatrist has completed his evaluation of her, and, you will be relieved to know, there appears to be something non-normal about her. It seems that this psychiatrist thinks that she is exhibiting signs of having an "anti-social personality disorder". This is a somewhat rare diagnosis for a prison psychiatrist to be making, but I'm betting that he has his copy of "Standard Diagnoses and Procedures for Collecting on Your Invoices", that all psychiatrists carry about with them. I suspect that surely she is exhibiting any number of classical signs of this dreaded disorder and possibly many others listed there.

But the real news here is that her greatest fear is that her 14 year old lover, will begin to have a wandering eye while she is in jail and fall in love with someone else, like say another 14 year old. While this would be an unusual occurrence, it certainly could happen. It may well be that her strategy of having two children by him before he was 15 may not be working out as she had hoped. It just may not be enough to bind him to her. How fickle the finger of fate.

She continues to feel that she did not rape him nor does she believe that she is a pedophile. So any hope of early release will hinge on her ability to hide these feelings through deceit in order to at least shift her diagnosis to a more benign disorder like delusional paranoid schizophrenia.
