No the new Gold OFX standard was developed by INTEGRION (read Checkfree), IBM, and INTUIT with MS going along unhappily. They wanted to use their own proprietary standard that noone would sign up to. This is about to make financial interchange over networks much more transparent to the machines at the sending and receiving ends. I can go through my archives and dig up info. if you are interested.
