Pat: US West selected NextLevel and their QAM solution for their NGDLC system about 6 months ago. It seems USWest is finally going to deploy this solution. Here is the Telechoice news: September 8, 1997 -- U S WEST Communications announced that it has signed a contract with Next Level Communications (NLC), a wholly owned subsidiary of NextLevel Systems, Inc. (NYSE:NLV) to deploy NLC's NLevel3 Switched Digital Access (SDA) System and related products. U S WEST has committed to purchase a minimum of 450,000 broadband xDSL access lines and Residential Gateways .... telechoice.com
