>>>Since they don't believe there is a problem, their planning should
consist of shorting Y2K stocks...nuff said.<<<

I never said there wasn't a problem. After a SIMPLE flash rom bios update, my computers are 100% compliant. Anyone saying there is NO problem is incorrect.

I am sick of all the talk of doomsday at the strike of midnight Dec.31/99.

The embedded issue really get me going, because I persoanlly believe thoese devices with simple computers in them just aren't going to fail. If the machine has complex software that is date sensitive, then I can see a problem. What extent, I don't know. I still want proof.

But, my toaster, TV, Microwave, Fax machine, etc will work in the year 2000.

All the hype about doomsday, has people stocking up on food, water, taking money out of the bank, and on and on.

Better to prepare for a natural disater, like an earthquake, tornado, etc. That is the real threat.

I wonder if anyone has studdied what happened Dec.31/1899? I wonder what the doomsdayers were saying 100 years ago?
