Fake Anti-Impotence Pills Surfacing
WASHINGTON (AP) - The manufacturer of the popular new
anti-impotence pill has a problem: Companies are selling fake
versions on the Internet and through 800 numbers. Pfizer Inc., the
maker of Viagra, won a temporary restraining order against a
company selling another pill called Vaegra. Pfizer provided a
federal judge with copies of papers that claimed Vaegra was a
just-approved anti-impotence pill. The drug maker also got word
about an Internet site for Viagro, an herbal supplement that
advertises as ''new male impotence pills.''
