Mark..

MPA stock keeps jumping from about .08 to .16 on zippo volume. I don't expect much more than this from the MM's on the VSE. That will change if and when Yasser's company shows some definite signs of growth advancing Chess on the Net. Once upon a time, everybody was all hot and bothered about the idea. For now, the thrill is gone. Do you think it will ever come back? Do you think Chess and other strategic games have any hope of getting some attention and gaining a following on the Net? Whole magazines are devoted to fascinating the young male with blowing up shit with Dunn 2000, Command & Conquer, Air Warrior.. the list is endless. Reminds me of the story about the tortoise and the hare. Eventually, slowly and surely, strategic games may catch up and get their market share of these kids. (perhaps with some promotion in Computer Games Magazine and the devotion of a site on Yahoo!)

As for MPA,
The company's value and the value of its stock seem disparate for now. But that's precisely what makes some stocks such a good deal to get in on. These are the sorts of disparities we should only hope to find more of. As a general rule on Wall Street, a stocks P/E should be about equal to the company's projected growth rate for it to be fully and fairly valued. For MPA, establishing a "growth rate" will depend on analysts having the information necessary to calculate at least its potential stream of revenue, profit margins, earnings per share, etc. That information is forthcoming. Hopefully, it will point to something quite lucrative for Yasser's on-line gaming strategy as the marketing mechanisms to generate a growing positive cash flow are put in place. All this will depend upon Yasser and his efforts to build a Premier Chess Site on the web with collaboration and some real promotion behind it from other vendors of on-line gaming. To be sure, there are other sites at which to play chess on the Net right now. However, I think they are likely to take a back seat to someone as enterprising as Yasser. If it's any consolation at this time Mark, Yasser and Company are still quite focused and working hard, even while everybody else is asleep.

Your friend,
Marty
