My understanding is that Trimble is going after both E911 possibilities -- both the triangulation solution (via Thunderbolt and TruePosition) and GPS in cell phones (via their recent work on a GPS/cell phone combination). I recall seeing somewhere a review of Trimble stating that they were good at location of moving objects. To this point, the field is so undeveloped that everyone seems to be struggling with the best way to handle the issue. Your link was pretty helpful in pointing that out.

Once again, I call on the thread's engineers for enlightenment.
