There will be at least two large wireless equipment mfgs. entering the market for digital wireless processing systems by the end of the year according to earlier product announcements. The details are buried in posts a few months back on this thread. I think that USWDA must get some momentum built up and their sales model working economically or they may be swamped with sales from the deeper pockets. Since the real take is, in the long-run, in transaction fees, this won't go unoticed by competitive transaction equipment providers. I think that USWDA has another nine months to either start racing to the finish line or will be quickly run over. In the final analysis, they have no protectable IP or patent position. They do have has been a lead in that they are already in the market with a product, but that lead could evaporate quickly with major industry players quickly overtaking the lukewarm showing of the telcos. USWDA should hold off doing conference calls until they have solid results to report - like over 10,000 units placed in a quarter. That will be the minimal showing to claim that they have the momentum to become a viable business.
