Interesting comment.

Jerry Sanders stated in the Q198 conference call that the 0.35 micron process problems had been solved - involving a step that was not part of the 0.25 micron process.

I'm not sure Sanders gave any real guidance as to what the 0.25 micron yields were. Guess I better re-listen to the conference call.

This is an excellent point. AMD's K6-233 MHz is selling for $106 retail. Assuming 20% markup in the distribution channel, that puts AMD's revenue per chip at $82 each.

They are going to have a world of difficulty making money now - that is about $375 LESS than the "roll out" price of the K6 from last April.
