Anybody know if LSI is making the ASICs for Cisco's new 8500? I saw a post on
another board that it was being delayed because of problems with the ASICs.
Hopefully Cisco is using another player and will decide LSI did such a great job
with the 12000 they'll give us all future business.

If cisco is having problems with any asics, it is more likely a
design problem and not a manufacturing problem. It would be a
non event to the foundry (LSI or some other one) since cisco
would be responsible for supplying the foundry with a correct
design.
