TT: Very simple answer to your question. There is a lead time of 3 months from wafer to finished product. 0.25 micron K6s only started ramping in earnest at Fab25 in Q1, which means these chips won't hit the streets (or add to the bottom line) until Q2. On the other hand, transitioning to 0.25 micron actually takes out some 0.35 micron capacity when the lines are refitted and upgraded etc. This means Fab 25 will not be working at full capacity until the transition is complete. This is to be expected.
Tom pabst hinted at three products based on the K6-3D to be released at the end of May. There will be a 266MHz and a 300MHz version, and a mystery version. This may be a 350MHz version, or a mobile part. Earlier reports confirmed that a good 20% of K6-3D parts from the Fab25 test lots were maxing out at 366MHz and above, which will make a 350MHz version possible at initial release. Many gamers are waiting patiently.
