X-Ray Man,

I seem to recall when MSFT preannounced, (very unusual for them), they said earnings would be at least .04 better than previous estimates. I'm betting they show .50 or .51 with the usual gloomy forward outlook.

I hope Gates learns to finesse the DOJ the way he has Wall Street. I'm amazed he can play the analysts with the same game, Q after Q. They're like a bunch of tail wagging puppies. "Yes, Bill", they bark, "The future doesn't look that great, like you say.", and continue to lowball subsequent estimates.

I think Win98 is going to be a big seller and more upside surprises are ahead. The only think that can derail them is the government and if that happens, it won't be just MSFT that goes down, IMO.

Regards, JB
