Red Bricks direct competitors (besides MSFT): Sybase Oracle Informix IBM Teradata I believe Teradata to be their most direct competitor due to the fact that both companies are focused on specialized DW databases. The other big thorn in their side is Sybase with its Adaptive Server IQ database specifically designed for high-performance DW and adhoc query applications. DW is also a major market initiative for Informix as well.
