Itron conference call indicated that trend in California is towards load profiling, rather than hourly metering. This means that utilities will be selecting low-cost approach, such as mobile AMR, over fixed networks for metering. Since Cellnet has put everything into fixed-network (which in CA is too costly to justify with load-profiling), and with Cellnet priced pretty high, I sold some CNDS shares short.
