LED.S are sold on price/performance ,I would never have guessed!Cree LED's are .20vs .90 for Nichia's how that for price? Performance Cree's newest chip is bright enough for most applications and is approved for auto,s not easy to do because of ESD Nichia lamp can't As far as brightness you don't need a 300w light for 100w application
Cree has a more varied uses for their chip and Nichia can only sell lamps another performance factor.
