Steve, calm down! NSM is primarily an analog chipmaker who is experiencing a temporary sales slowdown in Asia. NSM will add more to their bottom line in a year from salary cuts than they would from several design wins for desktop PCs. Under the circumstances, cost reduction moves are reasonable and should be viewed favorably by the Street.

The 6x86MX is no more and the MII brand appears to me to be a way to burn up some IBM wafers for a meager profit. CPU production is in a fast transition from 0.35u to 0.25u to 0.18u ... as NSM requires a VERY low production cost for the GX. Why? Because the REAL profits will come from mega-chip orders where the RISC boys will be the competition rather than Intel.

CYRX is dead. Long live NSM!
