Here's a Motley Fool's take on today's action:

"Guys,

The most likely reason for the decline is already "old" news from yesterday's conference call by
Intel. I'm surprised that you guys don't read more about the few leading, branded companies in this
industry.

In Intel's conference call the company stated that it plans to integrate auxilliary chips for handling
graphics (and logics) functions onto one piece of silicon by next year, obviously making the
investors in several graphics-related chip companies nervous. These statements began the 3Dfx
slide yesterday and it grew today.

That said, I do think that investors have it wrong in selling 3Dfx on this already pretty much
anticipated news. We all know the niche that 3Dfx caters to is high-end users that won't use
anything less than Voodoo. Though maybe it does make Banshee's prospects more sketchy, but
they're still very positive in my opinion. We'll see...

Fool on..."
