DENVER, April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Coram Healthcare (NYSE: CRH) today announced that during the first quarter it had been selected as a provider of home infusion services by two United HealthCare plans. Coram is one of three providers to United HealthCare's HMO, PPO, and POS members in the state of California.

United HealthCare of North Carolina, with almost 400,000 covered lives, also selected Coram for home infusion services. Coram will provide home infusion services on a fee-for-service basis. The term of the agreement is three years.

"We are very pleased to be chosen by two additional United HealthCare plans, this time in California and North Carolina. We are proud to be working with an organization that has a strong commitment to quality patient care which parallels Coram's mission," said Richard Smith, President.

Coram currently has agreements with ten local United HealthCare plans, providing home infusion therapy services, and has an agreement with United HealthCare nationally for Coram's Maternity and Newborn Program.
