I dont think many brokerages will let you short a stock under $5. I know Datek wont let you do it and most of the trades today were Traders using one of the electronic servers like Terranova, Island, Instinet and Bloombergs.
I mean it took me 30 mins or so to just buy or sell this stock today at market! Yes 30 mins using ETrade. Would think others also have problems just keeping up.
