The benefit would be Front Page coverage on local papers, plus maybe VP Estrada owns or controls a lot of PLDT?? The Chinese community in Philippines control a lot of business,But Who really knows anything. I do know the Filipinos love anything American,and bless their hearts, I love them too! But Money is not plentiful over there. I lived there in 92 thru 94 and never did get a phone. Finally did manage to get cell phone at $1.10 per min local call
