Hi P&F - decided to come over here to ask questions.

Just read through the last 24 hours of P&F messages and browsed through the DorseyWright site.

I can see you've dedicated plenty of time helping others and seem to have some strong and happy converts in this group.

I'm certainly interesting in pursuing a stronger understanding of P&F. What do you suggest first; buy the book referenced by DW? Once someone understands the concepts where can one obtain plotted charts for stocks. I'm know I'm not up to doing this manually.

During the past 7-8 months I've learned about TA indicators, CANSLIM, daytrader stuff, split & earnings momentum, etc, etc, etc. Have bought big stocks, penny stocks, internet stocks, call options, etc. [Have definitely decided I don't like penny and micro cap because I think the day-traders manipulate them] Not that there aren't general overall market rules that one just has to learn, like what happens between first half hour of the day or last half hour, profits are taken on Fridays and after earnings. And if a company is the first in a group to disappoint, the company gets severely punished. I've had the most success with the bellweather large cap companies.... although the price of admission is generally pretty stiff.

So with that said, I'd be interested in learning P&F to see if I can get a little more confidence, and more profits for my time and money (ie something a little more efficient).

Thanks,
Laura

PS - one of the messages on this thread referred to a P&F seminar???
where is it? Anything coming up in the NY/NJ/PA area?
