My initial reactions are:

1. 2001 is probably a little further than the street looks ahead unless the stock is an
internet play. In that case, the street is currently looking ahead to about 3002. ;-)

2. It's a step toward less regulation, and, more communications competition which should
be good for the Telcom Equipment makers.
