You make a point and I should have considered these added costs. For one though I think Intel is now making their own SRAMs for quality and performance reasons. You alluded to this. Which means they will be getting them at cost, which is probably below NEC's price. Also you know that AMD needs SRAMS on the motherboard for their L2 cache, yes they're cheaper but add in the cost nonetheless.

Bottom line is if AMD's costs are low how come they keep losing so much money?
