Bruce:

In answer to you question about how did I come up with my information about R.O.C. Taiwan Fund, it goes something like this:

1. I researched the stock on many different sites on the web.
2. I spent approximately 6 hours in that research as I do with all stock I buy.
3. I continue to check on new data or news on a daily or weekly basis depending on the stock and my expectations of it.
4. In most cases I buy stock for the long term, but not always.

In doing my research on ROC I got several reports that showed that down side should be minimal and the upside very promising. One of the sites I uses to generate a report on ROC was VectorVest vectorvest.com And another one was to obtain information on high dividends tscn.com and still giving me companies with the P/E's tscn.com^E.html . Bruce, these are only a few of the locations I use.

I don't always pick them right. But if I have done my research even the weak ones work out in the long haul. As Peter stated; he invests mostly in closed-end-funds (CEF's), and so do I. I always buy at a good discount to the Net Asset Value (NAV) and try to find those with good dividend and distribution records over three years or more. I also buy equity stocks and some carp shooters Bulletin Board (BB's) Stock. I always look for undervalued stocks with strong growth and dividend potential.

I don't know is any of this helps, if it does GREAT! If you are interested take a look at Westwood Corporation Nasdaq: (WNMP). It has been paying 3.2% dividend and a annual 10% stock dividend. It last traded for $1.25. It has a book value of $1.67 per share, how about that. Bruce I not saying that it is going to go up anytime soon, but should base on all things being equal. If you are interested, BE SURE AND DO YOU OWN INVESTIGATION ON IT. I could take up to 24 months to come up, but in the meantime I will be getting dividends.

P.S. I did this in a hurry so forgive any grammar errors.
