Francis, Jim and others,
I know that the company says the flushable aspect of the litter is what separates them from the rest, but in less than 10 minutes on Nexis I found several other products -- that are already on the market -- that claim to be flushable. here are a few of them:
LitterLove Cat Litter barnaby, St. paul Mn. "Made with 100% recycled pellitized aspen wood, Litterlove eliminates odors naturally. The litter is chemical-free, dust-free, biodegradable and flushable. Sold in supermarkets and pet retailers." (This is from a trade magazine called New Product News, July 11, 1996
Carefree Kitty Cat Litter Products American Colloid, Mounds, IL Sells flushable litter in pet retailers (same source)
Swheat Scoop Cat Litter Pet Car Systems, Detroit lakes, MN "This cat litter is scoopable, flushable, biodegradable and has a natural odor control" (Same source, May 8, 1996)
Odor Sentry Unsented Flushable Cat Litter Little Rock ark. based Ammonia Hold Inc/ os the manufacturer. for sample retreival information, please call Marketing Intellience Service (716) 374-6326. (Market Intelligence Serice Product Alert, May 12, 1997
and finally
BioPlus Inc. of Ashburn Georgia which uses peanut hulls as the carrier base for ... flushable cat litter.
-------- Please don't flame me saying that I am bashing. I bought 2,000 shares today and as part of my DD I have been checking this out. Can someone explain to me how this product differs? Thanks
