Warm Fuzzy E-Mail from Investor Relations at TelVue. I sent an E-Mail to TEVE Stockholder Relations asking them to re-release their Pay-Per-View by Internet story and to highlight the TEVE stock symbol. The Internet stocks are hot, and we are tired of being ignored.
This is their response:
Dan Lisman
Dear Dan:
Thank you for taking the time to send us an e-mail, we are always happy to hear from our stockholders. As you well know, it is inappropriate for companies to send out news releases for the sole purpose of promoting the company with a goal of moving the stock price. As a result we have a policy of being prudent in releasing information and try to restrict our news to that which materially impacts the business. Further, we need to be cautious in not tipping our hand to the competition by prematurely advancing information relative to new products or business plans. As an example, the "Pay Per View Internet Ordering Story" which was released last month was a major breakthrough in the cable industry. We timed the release of that information to coincide with a Cable TV trade show (where we had a booth demonstrating the product) and supported the announcement with advertising in major industry publications. No one in the industry expected this "breakthrough" and as a result we created a major "event" which was the talk of the show and at the same time caught our competitors "flat-footed", because they did not have a comparable product.
We monitor the bulletin board at "www.techstocks" and would love to give our investors something new to talk about, but we want to hold back until we have something really important to say. As you can imagine, as we market the PPV-Internet service, sign up major cable companies as users, develop "partnerships" with other major names in the cable industry and "spin-off" additional features and applications -- there will be sufficient reason to legitimately release information to the public. We always include the symbol "TEVE" in our releases.
Keep an eye on our website telvue.com we update that site frequently -- check out the "affiliates section" it will give you an idea of what is going on day to day on an operational basis. Also monitor ppvorder.com and allthingscable.com -- they are two sites we have under development.
Again, thank you for writing to us. We are always happy to communicate with shareholders, listen to suggestions and answer any questions you might have.
