Least invasive first!! The protocol is being violated everyday by over 75% of Urologists. The AUA states that least invasive treatments should be used first. The AUA also lists the very least invasive treatment as being an External Vacuum Device. Not medication, not MUSE and not injections. In our clinic we have 95% success rate with the vacuum device when the patient is properly taught how to use it.
Let's see MUSE or injections come close to that. So don't lecture me on "protocol" when it is not being followed by most. Anyway, doctors are trying to keep frustrated patients happy. If you keep using failed treatments, you lose the patient. Finding a treatment that works should be the protocol. So tell all your docotr friends to try the Vacuum device first because it has over 20 years of being 90% or better effective. There are studies to prove it(and it is less expensive).
