sanguineless - ' no blood flow to the brain '

I think I've finally figured out the NE message:

"Obviously we're pleased with the quarter's results and are sanguine about the longer term markets."

dictionary also defines sanguine as "bloody; red"

as in hemorrhaging, "The longer term markets will be in the red."
NE and ESV and the others will be losing money soon. Lots of it. As a stockholder, their creditors will find a way to come after me to pay off their debts. ggg
