Hi Delbert, Don't you think most crime springs from the same old boring vices that have been around for centuries? Technology merely provides a faster, more efficient means of accomplishing the ends? Remember in the old West, they robbed banks--they just rode away on horseback. Nowadays, they sit at their computers and change the bank records. But it all springs from the same source--avarice. Or any of the seven deadlies! Obviously the fact that posts are read by many eyes does little to inhibit the baser instincts of some people, even here on our nice thread. I find that troubling and intriguing. When I was a Probation Officer, one of my girls had a "Hell's Angel" boyfriend who dropped in to see me on a regular basis. He was 6'6", covered in tattooes and black leather and a truly imposing presence. I was 22 and terrified that he was going to attack me because I had incarcerated his woman. The reason he finally told me he came? He liked to "talk about life and meaningful stuff". Underneath all the hair and attitude, he was sensitive and very bright. So even if you have pink hair and no teeth, it's ok by me! penni
