First Boston initiated coverage of Casino Data Systems with a "hold" (a polite way of saying sell) today. I don't have details as to the reason for a hold rating. First Boston also initialed coverage of other games stocks various rating from hold to strong buy which makes me somewhat suspect over the quality of their analysis (they put a "Buy" rating on IGT). I have been a shareholder of this stock for over a year and have been impressed with how the company has performed. They blew away consensus earnings by 50% for the latest quarter. I think it will be become easier to exceed analyst earnings if more analysts come out with "hold" (sell) ratings on the stock. I am considering on loading up more shares of the stock because I think that it is of good value at current prices.
