From Stockman Forum: Westrend Natural Gas - WRN on VSE Close 20APR98 - $0.59 Hi Leroy. Quite unfortunately, there is absolutely nothing new to report on Westrend, as can be seen with the languishing stock price. I've been unable to get much out of the company - they say they're just working away - building rigs, selling rigs, etc.. I should mention though that this short-term depreciation in stock price is a classic indicator of news with Westrend. The long-term chart clearly shows a price slide when there's little or no news for a month or more (as is the case with most pennies). But we all know that Westrend's annual report for fiscal '97 MUST be made available by 31MAY98. Many, including myself, are expecting positive EARNINGS/SHARE in said report. As we near that date, things will definitely heat up and any kind of positive news release will only add fuel to the fire, as it were. Bottom Line : The is NOT a $0.60 stock. It should be conservatively valued at at least $1.00 right now. Look for a BIG move over the next 2 months. Dave S.
